If you want to open your original PS3, then you need a tamper resistant screwdriver size T10 to remove the first screw. After that, the rest of the screws require a standard phillips screwdriver. Why buy a whole set, when you need just one screwdriver? This driver has a small hole in the tip, to bypass the post in a tamper resistant screw, like the ones found in the original Playstation 3. The screwdriver handle is easy to use, the orange cap turns freely while you are applying pressure to it. Handle is also ergonomic for ease of use. It starts with a high quality handle, but, the metal shank is Chrome Vanadium Hardened Steel (CR-V) 6150. This is high quality metal. We chose this metal so that the screwdriver will last longer. Works well for original PlayStation 3 models Before I purchased this product, I was quite hesitant because I read reviews stating that the product shipped was not as advertised. I normally do not write product reviews, but I wanted to help those who were considering making a purchase of this product. In my case, the product shipped was exactly as advertised. It is not the exact same as the pictures would illustrate, but the Torx T10 head does have the hole in the middle suitable for removing the security screw of the original PlayStation 3 models. I cannot speak for anyone else’s experience, nor can I confirm that this driver works with the slimmer PlayStation 3 models, but I can say that the product that I received worked as advertised.
