Joy Bidet (TM) are high quality non-electric bidets. The model C-1 has one cold water connection and a retractable nozzle. The box comes with full installation accessories and easy to follow instruction. A self installation takes between 10 to 15 minutes.
It fits any standard 2-piece toilet. A two piece toilet is where the bowl and the tank are two separate pieces.

Ahhhhhh….Simplified Instructions / Rave Update on 7-10-14 Update 7-10-14 – after almost 3 years, the knob failed on this C-1. I spoke with Cara at customer service and had explained the situation in more detail. She was most gracious and completely understanding. Though the warranty is only for 12 months, she offered no hesitation in replacing the unit free of charge under these specific circumstances. Wow, how often does any company offer this kind of service? Wish I could rate this company 6 stars. Also received an immediate email reply after contacting them off their web site and when calling in I was connected to a live person. Top notch. Unless you are on a strict budget, my suggestion at this point is to purchase the C-2 as it is of higher grade quality per Cara.(Original write up and instructions below)After visiting Europe several times it was time to get acclimated with better hygiene. I’ve installed many replacement parts in two tank systems over the years and would say the directions in the C-1 are vague. Once you get it installed it does work properly and install is fairly simple. Here’s what I did that made life easier vs. the included instructions. This should apply to most two toilet systems however there may be differences.Remove toilet seat first and bolts holding seat in place. Ignore directions and DO NOT MOUNT seat back on toilet with bidet as it will get in the way and potentially make your life more difficult with installation. Most toilets will need a flat tip screw driver to loosen the two bolts which are typically hidden by caps at the back of the seat. The wing nut which hold the bolts in place should self lock as you loosen therefore you don’t need to hold the wing nuts below while unscrewing.Once the seat is off, shut off the water valve. Place a basin below the water tank which is where you will loosen the nut to the water tank. Perhaps keep a couple of towels on hand as well. Flush the toilet until most of the water in the tank is gone. Lift up water tank cover to verify if you like and lift flapper in tank to get additional excess water out of the tank. You can more thank likely ignore the “metal” hose that comes with the C-1 and use your existing metal flex hose. The directions make no mention of this so FYI. Loosen the (more than likely) plastic nut that attaches to the bottom of your water tank and hose will disconnect so aim in basin. Now, take some Teflon tape thread (about a dollar at the hardware store – get the type for water, not gas) and wrap approx two rounds of tape around the threaded portion of the included plastic T (aka “15/16″ fill adapter”) that came with the C-1. Hand tighten (but not firmly just yet) this threaded T valve into the already mounted metal flex hose coming from your wall. Now, hand tighten the other end back to the bottom of the water tank. This is usually done by hand. Go ahead and this time “firmly” hand tighten the other end connecting to the metal flex hose in your wall. I did it this way to allow mobility. Be care not too over tighten either end. If you opt to use a wrench usually a 1/4 turn past hand tightening is sufficient. Now take the small white plastic nut off the “T” you just mounted, slip the plastic white hose through the front of the nut and firmly screw back on to the “T”. Note: You may have to push a bit harder to get that tube seated just right on the “T”. Be careful not to cross thread and that the small plastic nut is aligned properly with the threads on this “T”. Update – 1 day later: I discovered a very slow leak and opted to this time use Teflon tape on threaded area where small white nut will thread. I applied two full turns of tape, hand tightened then did a 1/4 turn with open ended wrench to secure. Leak solved. At the base of the bidet is where the other end of the white tube is inserted. So once again, remove the small plastic nut on base of the C-1, push hose through the front of the nut then back onto bidet. Now fasten the nut back onto the bidet. Both tube ends should be firmly held in place by the two small white plastic nuts. Again, careful not to cross thread or over tighten. Finally place the bidet on your toilet, align the seat locks so they match with the holes in your toilet. Place toilet seat to align with these locks and screw bolts back into place. There’s a small plastic tube in the center of the bidet that faces downward. Yes, this is the part that does the spraying. Be sure (as it does say) to SIT on the seat before attempting to use the bidet. All went went well except I had to pull down the sprayer a few times to loosen it up. I would also recommend when you turn the pressure dial to gradually go from one level to the other. I don’t recommend turning to high out of the gate as some water pressure may be to high and could cause aching or injury afterward.I hope this helps everyone…
