Smile For No Good Reason Lee L.Jampolsky
Trying to change your life’s circumstances without addresssing your way of thinking is as effective as painting over rust – it will only look good until the rust breaks through again. Attitudinal Healing is a way of achieving lasting and fulfilling happiness, without having to somehow change our social status, religion, or even our income bracket. It is a systematic way to respond to life’s challenges with peace of mind and confidence rather than fear, anger, or guilt. Dr. Jampolsky presents the twelve principles of Attitudinal Healing, with compelling vignettes to help apply these life-changing principles to everyday life.
- One of the few books currently offered on Attitudinal Healing
- The popularity of Attitudinal Healing is reflected by the hundreds of centers worldwide and the existence of an international organization, NAHI
- Continues the ground-breaking work of Attitudinal Healing pioneers Gerald Jampolsky, M.D., and Diane Cirincione, Ph.D.
- A practical approach to living and health that – through two decades of grass roots growth – has changed the lives of thousands of people
- Motivational, uplifting, and often humorous vignettes to inspire the heart, stimulate the mind, and heal the soul

Smile For No Good Reason Attitudinal Healing is a philosophy based on the idea that “nothing needs to change in your life situation or the world in order for you to have peace of mind.” In Smile For No Good Reason, Lee L. Jampolsky, Ph.D., psychologist, author, and consultant, offers simple and practical advice for creating happiness without doing anything except changing how we look at life.

At a time of desperation I found inner peace This summer I found myself lost in dispare after losing several close relatives and battling my own personal illnesses. I began a slippery slope of questioning the purpose and point of life. I was in the deepest depression I had ever felt. It took all of my energy to go to work until one day I just completely snapped. One of my dearest friends, who I knew would relate to my situation, sent a care package my way with this book enclosed. At first I wasn’t sure if I would read the book, but since the chapters were short and brief it was easy to read a bit at a time. I was able to absorb each chapter at night and really think about how I could adjust my way of thinking and attitudes in order to find true happiness. The most important chapters for me were the chapters that dealt with the past and forgiveness. I learned that I must let go of the past and forgive those who have done me wrong or else I will suffer in pain and never enjoy happiness. It seems like such an easy concept, but it takes time and you must forgive yourself first. I had to learn this concept first and foremost as I am my most harsh critic. Smile For No Good Reason will take you on a journey of finding true inner peace and happiness. You will rediscover the meaning of unconditional love for oneself and others. You will learn how to how to love–you may think you know, but you will be surprised at how we utilize fear and manipulation tactics to control the ones we love.I am now in the process of supporting a friend who is going through some rough times and I am now passing on the book that I tribute to saving my life and giving me perspective on how to love myself all over again. I hope my friend will discover why we all love her too! This is the type of book that you will read and think of that special person in your life that desperately needs more love and happiness in their life–their suffering must end…life is too short!
