Pleasantly Surprised I bought one of these for my daughter, she has already broken two iTouch iPods, so I thought I would get her an Otterbox for the third. However, I couldn’t find an Otterbox for iTouch 4G, so I took a chance on the Defender from Smile Case. I was very surprised at the quality and believe it will do a good job to protect the iPod. It has a hard plastic shell (looks like standard plastic found on any toy) with a silicone case on top that fits nice and tight. When all together, the case seems to be very substantial and it makes the iTouch look and feel like an iPhone (iPhone in standard silicone case). After watching my daughter use it for a month, I could tell that it was durable and would last a while, so I bought a second case for my iTouch 4G. I’m not as hard on my iPod as my daughter, but I use it in the car and it does get bumped around a bit. So far this has been the perfect case to prevent unwanted scratches, dust, dirt and the occasional in-car drop. It’s a bit hard to tell from the picture, but the case has a clear plastic window over the screen and clear plastic over the logo hole on the back. It’s not waterproof, but it does seem to be water-resistant. The headphone and docking jacks have cover-plugs, but the mic hole is open. I’m pretty sure that the case will not stop water if it’s submerged, but should do well against the occasional splash. I haven’t thrown my iPod across the room or dropped it from the roof to test the case, but I wouldn’t do that even if I bought an Otterbox. If it drops or gets thrown, I think it will be just fine, just can’t say it definitely. The belt clip is OK, but the iTouch sits on it with the back facing out, so you have to take it off the belt clip to access the screen.All-in-all, I am very satisfied with this case and believe it’s a very good value at $18.

Good Case I bought this case for my 13-year old’s iTouch. It’s not as bulky as the Otterbox but it is good enough for protection/scratches. And the price was right!
