M. J. Smith says:

Prayers of comfort I have shared this book with several women who are struggling with critical health issues – Lou Gehrig’s disease, recurrence of breast cancer – and they have found great comfort in the prayers in this book. I would recommend it for others in crisis situations.

Good prayers but not a good balance The prayers in this book are, as the title suggests, specifically for women as illustrated by some of the titles: Bakerwoman God, Womb of God, Before Birth: A Waiting Prayer, For He who Would Marry a Childless Woman … The collection includes Celtic prayers, prayers from other cultures, classical prayers from women saints, and contemporary feminist theologian prayers.
