I’m sitting here trying to type this book description while I have one child asking me why she’s grounded from video games and another kid sitting on my lap trying to get into my tape dispenser. I hear screaming coming from the play room and I’m supposed to be putting cornbread muffins in the oven for dinner. I also have to poop.
This is my book. It’s about family life. But not the pretty family that you see on social media or in magazines. This is the fighting, the yelling, the loving, the laughing, the teasing, and the deep thoughts of the protagonist. Me. The mom. The General. So let me regale you with the stories (in diary form) that will keep you wondering how something as mundane as a simple life of love can be so terribly intriguing . . . and inspiring.
