Full-spectrum all the way. The ALZO light bulbs are great. These 15 watt (equivalent to a normal 60 watt) were just what I was looking for. I had already replaced most of the lightbulbs in my house with the slightly larger ALZO 27 watt bulbs, but I had a couple of light fixtures that the 27 watt bulbs were too big for. Thankfully ALZO released these smaller 15 watt bulbs. The fact that these bulbs are full-spectrum (5,500K) lights makes all the difference in the world. All the positive things the other reviews have stated is true. The full-spectrum bulbs reduce glare and eye strain along with maintaing accurate colors.Another thing I did was to trick my sleep pattern using these lights. My bedroom faces west and even then the only window is blocked by another building. Sunlight does not begin to enter my bedroom until well past 11:00AM, so if I relied on the morning sun to wake me up I would always think 11:00AM is 7:00AM. I changed out my main lamp in my bedroom to one of these full-spectrum lights and added a timer to turn the lamp on everyday at 7:00AM. I could not tell a difference with the full-spectrum light coming on at 7:00AM from real sunlight entering my room at 11:00AM. After many different attempts I have finally been able to reset my circadian rhythm back to a normal 7:00AM morning thanks to the ALZO full-spectrum bulbs.

Good size, could be brighter. Before finding these bulbs, I was reading reviews on higher wattage bulbs from the same manufacturer which talk about how big the bulbs are. That is not the case here, they are pretty much the same size as a standard incandescent. I was hoping they’d be a little bit brighter, but they’re not bad. They are very white but it is a slightly different white from the ” day light” kind which can be very sterile. If you look directly at the bulb, the white looks the same, but when you see how the room looks it is different, so I’d recommend it. Bumbs lit up to full brightness instantly and with no flickering.

Failed after 3 days o.O? I just moved into a historic home, complete with incandescent bulb baring light fixtures in every room. I bought 3 packs of these to start switching out all of the bulbs not on dimmers. I was really excited about the full spectrum light, as I just moved from sunny AZ to cloudy MA. When I first installed them in my bedroom, they came on full brightness without delay, and had a beautiful bright white light. The next day when I flipped the switch, only two of the three bulbs in the fixture came on. I thought it was a fluke and ignored it for a bit, hoping the socket was lose and I’d fix it later. Another day later only one of the three bulbs would turn on. And, you guessed it, by the third day none of the bulbs would turn on. I’m not sure if it was my fixtures or the bulbs (as I said, I’m in an older home), but it is very strange that they failed sequentially. I currently have 3 cfl bulbs from home depot installed and they’ve been working for about two weeks with no problems (for half the price). I ended up returning all of these bulbs to amazon.
