“That’s a fatality!” I said almost flippantly, as we drove by the silver car that was literally wrapped around a tree about 100 yards off the Interstate.
“How can you say that?” responded my wife Pam, “what makes you think so?”
“Oh, just look at the car, and the way they have it all cordoned off, plus they even have the photographers out…”
“Well, it doesn’t have to mean someone died…” she replied.
The accident we were driving past was our own car which only a few minutes before had driven by our 17 year old son. At that moment it wasn’t a fatality, but it was an event that forever changed our lives.
