A powder, not a cream I have loved the rich scent of Joy perfume for a very long time. The solid form of this perfume smells almost as good as the liquid form and better than the body lotion or soap.What surprised me is the solid perfume is a powder. I had expected a cream.Its packaging of a heavy gold-tone ‘box’ with a swing out top is beautiful, but there’s comparatively little product. I would have preferred relatively less packaging and more perfume, or at least lighter packaging. The velvet pouch is completely pointless — it would have been better had Patou spent more of the price of the product on giving you more than 0.06 ounces and less of the price on packaging.I know that after awhile after application, the wearer’s nose gets ‘tired’ of the smell of a perfume and ‘blocks it out’ so that the wearer can’t smell it anymore, but other people who are not subject to the same smell constantly are able to smell it. So after some hours, I ask people close to me whether they can smell the perfume. Here are the results:The liquid perfume and body lotion last well, but this powder does not, maybe because it doesn’t adhere to skin or clothing as well as the liquid or cream forms.
