I like this one better then the original I have the original for Wii which I like but always thought the screens loaded too slow and some of the games are really hard to play. The New Carnival Games took care of both those issues. It also added a ton of new games while keeping the atmosphere of the old game. It does still have ski ball and a basketball game but they are different from the old game. I like how fast the menus switch between screens and they added a much needed skip button so you can get through the graphics quicker for impatient players like myself. In every area there is also a side quest with some member of the carnival looking for an item. I haven’t figured out how to get those yet though. For those who would like a list of games..they are as follows -Area – Mystic CourtArrow Shoot (archery)Gold Rush Alley Ball (ski-ball)Super Gold Rush Alley Ball (unlockable)Pool SharkBank a BallFortune Teller – costs ticketsArea – Mousy LaneHaunted HouseLucky CloverSwish It (basketball)Super Swish It (unlockable)Gone FishinWheel of Cheese – costs ticketsArea – Suprise Blvd.Prize Suprise – 20 tickets to pull out a prizeTractor PullPitch a PlateSuper Pitch a Plate (unlockable)Horseshoe tossFishbowl bounceTwist n Win (tickets)Area – Pitstop ParkwaySpeed BingoBalloon BlastTarget ShootStart Your EnginesBumper Cars (unlockable)Ticket Racer (costs tickets)Area – Snapshot driveClown FaceTic Tac ToeUnder 7 over 31Photo Booth (costs tickets)Bottle Stand UpSuper Clown FaceArea – Players AlleyShows your prizes and achievements.

HUGE fan of the original… I am a HUGE fan of the original Carnival game, to date, it’s my all time favorite. I was wowed right away at some upgrades to the intro screen and graphics. I didn’t mind the cheap graphics in the original, because it was all about the gameplay. I LOVE carnival style games, and love simplicity, and get to the point gameplay. I was THRILLED to see a follow up, that stayed true to the gameplay, and added brand new and GOOD games. For the most part, they stuck with that, I’ll give more details in the Pros and Cons section. You’ll enjoy familiar carnie voices and faces, like the narrator, with some new ones, like the new sassy female. Up to four players can play. They have added some new character customizations, but still limited like the first. The game menu screen is like the original, you have five alleyways with new creative titles and games. Find some hidden goodies on the game screens to unlock more fun things to wear.Ok.. let’s just get down to some Pros and Cons.PROS:New games that are really fun and true to the carnival style games, like Haunted House and Bumper Cars. Those games alone made the purchase worth every penny! If you like to casually play for a few minutes, or for hours, this game is sure to keep you entertained. Games are addictive! Would be fun for all ages.About 33 different games. Some key carnival games included is Bottle Stand Up, raise the bottle with the pole. Fish Bowl Bounce, Pitch A Plate (very similar to throwing the ball at the clown faces).CONS:A couples games don’t seem very responsive. The addition of motion control didn’t really seem to make any difference, I feel I wasted the extra money getting the bundle pack.Repeat games, like Skee Ball, Swish It (Basketball), but not a terrible thing, they freshened them up, so they are not exact, and certainly not a deal breaker.DREADFULLY long, and useless load screens before and after the games. It’s like they tried TOO hard to prove that they could exceed the original, where graphics are concerned. They missed the point of why the game was so popular.. it was the game PLAY, not the graphics. They could have kept everything the game, as far as graphics, plugged in the new games, and had a 5 star game! It’s annoying, and you’ll find yourself skipping a lot. So minus a star for that.CONCLUSION: I give this game 4 out of 5 stars. I’m so glad thought, time and effort was put into a sequel to a great Wii game, with a few new bells and whistles. Even more true-to-live carnival style games, that keep me playing for hours.
