The inventors of these terrific utensils that look like real construction machines were inspired by watching their young son at play. Every parent knows that kids–especially toddlers–are fascinated with building machines. Use that fascination to keep them at the table, entertained, and utterly involved with meals. The set includes a “fork lift” fork, “front loader” spoon, and “bulldozer” pusher. All three function equally well as eating utensils and construction toys. Textured, easy grip handles and detailing allow little hands to hold on tight. We especially like that the manufacturers chose to use a PVC-free, and phtalate-free plastic. It’s not only rugged, lightweight; it’s free of the potential toxins you may find in other plastic dinnerware.

MAGIC!!! Initially saw this fabulous product in Time Out New York Kids a few months ago. Kept it in the back of my mind b/c my 17-month-old son is fascinated by trucks. We’ve been having such a hard time getting him to eat at all, let alone use utensils. And the little interest he does take in using a fork or spoon is marred by frustration b/c most toddler utensils don’t work very well. Then I remembered the Constructive Eating Utensil Set. Went online, read good reviews and decided to give it a try. When the package came, my son saw me open it and immediately wanted to play/use his new “toys.” I had just tried giving him dinner within the hour; no success. I cut up some chicken (which he rarely eats) and an apple (he loves them). He immediately was able to spear the chicken with the fork and proceeded to eat an entire plate of food, by himself, clapping after each spoon- and forkful. My mouth was dropped open as was Grandma’s. TOTAL SUCCESS! This product is magic. I also love that it’s not made with paint and that the plastic is safe. I highly recommend it… And think it would make a great gift/stocking stuffer. Wish they would invent something similar for girls. Sometimes people gets things right. This is one of those times. Bravo!
Perfect gift for toddler My 18 month old son loves trucks, but using fork & spoon…not so much. These solved that. His favorite is the bulldozer pusher. Going to stock up on for gifts. Great!
