Great book and an excellent author Several “happenings” have come up since I read this book. I must admit that it has made me stop and think before I made a decision what to do or say, or what my reaction to the saituation was. Great book, and an excellent author. Anybody that reads this book will benefit greatly.
Good practical introduction to Buddhism as applied to daily life I enjoyed this book and think people who are interested in l earning some basic concepts of Buddhism and how to apply Buddhist philosophy to common problems in life will benefit from reading it.
A thought provoking guide to life’s problems. This quick read is packed full of great wisdom of the Dharma teachings and how they may be applied to some of life’s challenges. Having little background in Buddhism or Dharma, I found the book very easy to follow, interesting, and accessible. The sections on mind and ego really connected with me as I thought of my own struggles. I found myself wanting more on the concepts of interdependence and emptiness, as I’m finding those difficult to wrap my mind around in terms of their comfort, but the book is a good introduction to them. Overall, I truly enjoyed the book and its positive message of how most of us control our own happiness, regardless of the problems we face. This is a great read for anyone interested in opening their mind to a new perspective.
