Good Product Was better than expected. The light show is good. It’s a little dim for anything thing but dark rooms. Works great as a Christmas display onthe side of a house.That is how I used it and the neighbors all Loved it. Within 10 minutes of setting it up I had several neighbors call or come over to see it. I also works well to Illuminate bare trees and make them appear to be strung with lights.The important thing is to make sure you keep the unit out of the weather. The cold temps don’t bother it but rain or wet will kill it.I cut the end out of a plastic storage tub and turned it upside down to set the light into while illuminating the tree and the side of the house.I plan to buy a more powerful one for next Christmas.
Great for parties on my deck I bought this to throw parties for my kids and their neighborhood friends on our deck. The price is low and it seemed to be worth the chance. I just received it but my 7 year old daughter put it through the works the night we got it.This laser is only green and red and projects out hundreds of dots. There is no designs as others have stated, this may be because different models share the same review page. As the machine runs, each dot breaks into about a dozen dots and squiggle around and rejoin other dots in sequence. There is a speed setting where they are moving fast or slowed to the point where they don’t move at all. You can stop the lasers movement at any point, either when its just the main dots, or while the smaller ones were moving, which fills the room with more non moving stationary dots. It also has a strobe affect which you can control the speed of the flash while its projecting. I tried placing an iPod next to it and didn’t really see a difference with the music playing next to it as its supposed to react to sound using its built in mic.The device is really small and made out of cool aluminum. It doesn’t get warm at all and the fan on it is pretty quiet. While using it in my home, i projected at my neighbors house and i could see the lasers on their home, with is across a large lawn.I did attach it to my kill-o-watt meter and tested it. On the strobe setting, the kill-o-watt says it uses 2 cents to have it run for an entire week straight while non strobe uses 5 cents for a week. Now this isn’t supposed to be run for more than 2 hours straight so the diode can get a break. It doesn’t say if it can run longer on strobe considering the diode is off half the time because of the flashing. Either way that’s dirt cheap to run it.Overall this thing works great right now and i hope it lasts. It is perfect for kids parties and i hope we get a lot of use out of it. I may try a more feature rich one later.
