Mary Eve McKenzie was born the fifth child of Nathalie and Robert. Simple-life people. Their small house, built-by-hand by Nathalie and Robert, using the trees and stones of their land, stood at the foot of a mountain known locally as “God’s Mountain”. They lived near a town known as “God’s Gate” in Pennsylvania’s Endless Mountains.
