Important reminders about what’s important I bought this book a few days ago but only got around to reading it this morning over a leisurely cup of coffee.. I’m glad I waited until the weekend to review it, otherwise I might have, in my rush to take care of the ten thousand things, skimmed it. That would have been a mistake. This little book (though you get a lot for your money) is a meditation on what’s important in life. Knowing what’s truly important is, as the author proves, the path to happiness. Happiness is a hot topic in books these days. Don’t let the whimsical title and cover lure you into thinking that is is not as serious minded as works by the professionals who write about positive psychology. Though they are world’s apart, I kept thinking of Isaac B. Singer’s short story, The Spinoza of Market Street, a masterpiece about what is important in life. The power in this book is the focus on just a few life issues that lead us to or away from happiness. At the end of the book the author says it took him a long time to write it. I can believe it. Though it is simply written and accessible, it has the feel of wisdom that has come through confrontation with life. It takes us a lifetime to learn the lessons in this book. The author seems to have mastered them, and we would do well to learn from him. Buy this book.
Tap into Your Personal Power A personal story of the author’s own beliefs that go beyond to underline the concept that we are each unique and valuable. Love is ultimately what makes us all happy and the happier we are the faster we will attract the things we want in life. This is true because we become what we think about. A little book will help you tap into your own powerful self. Nicely done.
this book teaches you “Give to Get” and rocks! I loved this book; it contains information that will assist its readers in attaining a quiet, peaceful life of happiness and love. As the author of over a dozen books on relationships and as a behavioral science doctor, I enjoy and appreciate when another author gets it right and provides good information in a concise manner. This author nails the subject and this book is worth of your time.
