Airports envy me now! This is a perfect choice for those areas that never have enough light in the evening. You know when you are trying to read something or you are trying to work on something like connecting wires to electronics & it is difficult to read the labeling on the back of the PC or stereo so you have to use a flashlight? Not with this bulb! Flashlights are embarrassed in this bulb’s prescence. My flashlights are now in therapy to recover from their disappointment & inadequecy in this room now. (I am serious.)Living 1 block from a small airport requires me to choose wisely when to turn this light on so that small aircraft don’t think it is an airport beacon and try to land in our yard. Oh, you don’t believe that, do you? Well, this thing is WONDERFULLY BRIGHT. It is quiet with no hum. It is in a floor lamp with a lamp shade in a small bedroom that is used as a den for the PC, Xbox 360, & toy room for our grandchildren. Colors are correct & everything is illuminated JUST RIGHT. They play with toys that they can now see as they should. I leave it off early in the morning when it is dark outside when I first wake up. “My eyes, my eyes!” However, it is perfect to light everything up the rest of the day and evening. Exactly what I wanted. (If I get a second one I can duplicate the effect of having the Sun in this room without all the heat.) Be sure to get a 14″ lamp harp which I could only find at [...]

Very nice Apparently, this bulb is intended for photographers. However, if you are looking for a replacement for sunlight in your home, this is it. I have this bulb in the middle of the ceiling in a 14×16 room, and it lights it up like daytime. It’s so much easier on the eyes, and doesn’t have the glare like a normal bulb.

HOLY CRAPOLA SUPERNOVA THIS THING IS BRIGHT Good lord, I had no idea so much light could come out of a single light socket. You will be utterly amazed by this thing. It's like having daylight in the middle of the room; I seriously sometimes forget that it's nighttime.
