We had an Otterbox for his 3g, but since Otterbox did not have a case out, yet, for the 4g, we opted to purchase a case from Smile Case. So far it is seemingly very similar to the otterbox. The case came with a belt clip holster which is not very user friendly – for younger users. Hard to get the itouch in properly and if you don’t it will fall out! Overall the Smile Case was a better PRICE and color options were a real bonus! Good Buy!

I’m currently deployed in Afghanistan and this item reached me in four days, which is amazing to me. SO I gave the seller 5 stars for that. OK here is Why I gave this item 3 stars:Pros: Case is a very sturdy, looks great, feels great and the Holster clip can be adjusted 360 degrees for comfort.Cons: The Holster clip is poorly made. Here is why; say you want to take your iPod touch 4g to the gym–like i did– and you have it in the carrying clip as well, which is hooked on to your jogging pants. While in the gym you hear a song that you don’t like so you attempt to press skip on your iPod. Here is where the Holster clip is render useless. First of all, in order to remove the iPod w/case out of the Holster clip, you have to remove your headphone from the iPod Jack–now you’re fondling with it on the treadmill– then turn it around– since it can only be fitted in the clip rear-facing– change your music, then repeat the steps all over again. By then you’re pressing the emergency stop button on the treadmill trying not to kill yourself.If you are going to buy this case, then it’s best for you never to use the Holster clip. Using the case without the Holster clip will protect your iPod and your ego as well. I’m not going to return this item because so far I have not seen anything sturdy enough to protect my iPod in this environment that I’m currently in.
