Amazing Nut-Milk Bag is Amazing! let's face it - the name alone is enough to incur derision for years to come. However, the product itself is simply amazing! I bought 2 of these - one for making nut-based milks like almond and hazelnut, and another for making fruit/vegetable juices for my juice fast (in which I lost 9 lbs in 6 days, but that's a different story altogether. I don't have a juicer at home, and I tried filtering the pulp using cheesecloth which was both aggravating and time consuming! Now, I just pour the juice mixture right from my blender into the bag and I pull the drawstring tight and hang it from the knob of my cabinet over the bowl. I then proceed to wash the peelers, knives, boards, and blender. Once I'm done, about 70% of the liquid has filtered out of the bag into the bowl, and a simple massage gets out the rest (similar to how one massages a cow's teat to extrude its milk). The bag's cleanup couldn't be much simpler - a tiny dot of detergent on the bag itself and about 20-30 seconds to thoroughly clean it, then rinse, shake as much of the excess water out of the mesh, and I hang it over the upended blender canister to dry the rest of the way. Then it folds up nice and neat in with the bowl, peeler, and apple corer I use for all my juices! If I didn't already own 2, I'd definitely buy another one so I'd have a backup!

Make your own rice milk! I bought this because I was tired of paying for Rice Dream rice milk for my daughter. So, in order to accomplish our Rice Milk experiment, I used some of the key ingredients all of which I ordered through Amazon: organic wild rice (Lundberg Wild Blend, Gourmet Blend of Wild and Whole Grain Brown Rice, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)), coconut oil (Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 15-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 2)), and Maple Syrup (2x Coombs Family Farms 100% Pure Organic Maple Syrup Grade B, 32 Ounce Jug).My daughter and I cooked 1 cup of the rice with 1 teaspoon of natural sea salt in 1 quart of water for 2 and half hours. I used a hand (Stick) blender to thoroughly breakdown the rice and then strained it through this NUT-MILK BAG. We then added 2 quarts of water to the liquid strained from the rice. We added 2 tablespoons of Coconut oil, 1/4C of Maple syrup, and blended again with the stick blender.Wow! This is much more tasty than Rice Dream Rice Milk and cost less that one tenth! I am sure that I recouped the cost of this Nut-Milk Bag in the first wonderful batch of home-made organic Rice Milk!
