I really wanted to like this book. The main character frequently states, "I'm such a whore ...slut..." And she convinced me. This was eroticism at it's most boring worst, and I wasn't even expecting it. I could have overlooked all of that for a good suspense plot, but it just wasn't there. The only character remotely developed was the main one and I found it hard to like her. She considered rape ( that's what it was) a game; and she hopped out of bed (ok, so more accurately off the floor) with this perp and out the door and into the arms (and, yes, bed) of another. She knows he's a bad man but she goes ahead anyway, and yes, falls in love with him, even though it is only their third encounter. Who falls in love that fast? Everything was beyond believable. From the weird sex "games" in the beginning to the unbelievable end in which she does something as bad as the worst of them it doesn't remotely ring true. That the author tried to paint her as this sweet, generous soul that buys groceries for the poor is ( gag) hard to swallow. The details of the criminal activity are sketchy and confusing. That her friends are allowed by the cops to be so involved is absurd. I usually like to 'finish off' a series, but I guess I don't care enough about what happens to pursue it further. Oh, and I took off for the sloppy editing.

Well written but raunchy This book was well written but quite raunchy.
WOW! Sometimes you accidentally stumble onto a real gem ~ and this book was one of those times! Couldn't put it down! Can't wait to read Restricted Access....my only hesitation is whether I should wait until closer to time for the third book to come out or just bite the bullet and read it now. Summer Ellis develops her characters in such a way that she lets you decide for yourself just how BAD or how GOOD they really are! I was ready to despise Banker and ended up loving him. And even though I KNOW Calen is a bad bad guy...I can't decide if I'm ready to hate him. Perhaps after I read Restricted Access....
