Wow, this CD was definitely worth the money!!! After getting ripped off with so many rock and roll albums these days this CD was music to my ears. I was a big Ratt fan in the 80's and early 90's but never listened to Arcade that much. As such the majority of the songs on this CD are new to me. I won't spend time going through EVERY song but instead will just point out a few of the many I liked. First off "Railbreak", man what a great tune, not alot of singing but a heavy riff throughout that is complimented well by Pearcy's voice. The song "Mother Blues" has to be one of Pearcy's all time best ballads. "Bitter with the Sweet" is a song with attitude and style, I love it. "Nothin to Lose" is a hard driving tune reminisent of the Ratt n' Roll days. "All Shook Up" and "Insatiable" are great opening tracks that set the tone with an in your face type edge. The true Ratt fan will love the Demo of "Round and Round", which is a raw and interesting version of the track eventually released on "Out of the Cellar". Well there you have it, a brief overview of the many great songs on "Before and Laughter". My advice? pick it up today you will not be disappointed!!!
