A great encouragement I have read David Young's latest offering and found it to be encouraging and uplifting. He correctly refocuses us on the biblical, Christian orientation toward "joy" as opposed to the secular humanist focus on "happiness." Bravo David!

Absolutely fantastic! After nearly twelve months of chaplain ministry in the war-torn nation of Afghanistan it seemed Joy had all but abandoned me. The eloquence of this author's writing confronted me with gentle conviction allowing the power of God's word to cleanse and heal my troubled soul.Joy found me in the midst of my trials, hardships, bitterness, anger and despair. Joy brought comfort to my hurt and challenged me to embrace my hardships as God's way of conforming me to image and ministry of Christ. Joy found me in the shadows of despair and uplifted me into the light of my Savior's love. Joy encouraged me and challenged me to shout and praise in spite of my present circumstances.Today is a new day and my Joy has returned.

Joy I read the entire book and found that it was very entertaining and informative. I did like the reflections at the back of each chapter. Bringing out each point of Joy showing what man thinks and what God thinks, puts thing into perspective. I now have a greater understanding and appreciation for Joy as God gives it.
