It wasn’t too long ago someone told me I was dreaming my life away. Days later those words rang through my mind. I began to think about what that person saw that I didn’t. It wasn’t that I felt depressed. I’m very content and happy with where I’m at in life. However, I do dream of “better days.”The Power of Happiness is a well worded handbook breaking down happiness and what exactly that means. One story, among so many amazing stories in this guide, particularly stood out for me. It was about a young couple who had nothing but each other. They moved to Europe on a whim. They had no money; barely made ends meet. As they grew, some things changed, many remained the same. For that particular couple is was about each other. About their adventure. About their struggle. That’s how they lived a life of happiness.Through powerful stories, well documented facts, delightful quotes the author does a great job at making his case. But what really put me over the edge was how he encouraged me to interact with the “lesson.” Thank you for making it my own and not just a boring lecture.Highly recommended for all who are just dreaming their life away.

I bought this book on a whim, during a time of not-so-happiness (my cat had run away and was subsequently hit by a car), and boy am I glad I did. I started reading it at around noon on the day I bought it, without much expectation, and before I knew it I was around 75% done. I wound up finishing this well-researched, entertainingly sprinkled-with-quotes book the next day.Like I said, I’m very happy to have stumbled upon this book. It’s kind of given me a renewed sense of optimism and sense that happiness is truly attainable for everyone. It’s a very quick read and well worth it, in my humble opinion. I’m looking forward to any future works the author puts out, and would recommend this book to any of my friends, happy and unhappy alike.
