Great WebCam for the $$!! My father has this one and he got the same one for me as a gift so we could Skype. It works great! I then bought one for my mother and am thinking about getting one for my grandmother and mother-in-law as well. It works great and is so inexpensive, you won't be disappointed!

Does the job. Fun to use. I’ve been using this webcam for a week. So far, it works well. I like it.I have a low-end Toshiba laptop which doesn’t have a built-in cam. I wanted a basic webcam for Skype and Windows Live Video calling. I don’t need fancy features like HD or auto-focusing. It’s a webcam. This VX-2000 does all that I expected for its price.Installation was easy. Works right out of the box for my Windows 7 PC. The cam can sit on top of the screen with the clip thing. The internal mic works without extra settings as well.I’d like to mention the software that came with the webcam. It’s actually pretty fun. You can distort the picture, add decorations real-time. The software detects your face and tries to fit the decorations at the right place. I think it’s fun to use.

Great Skype & video review web cam! The video clip is a short snippet of the camera in use. This is showing my nephew playing Halo. I took this video to demonstrate the lighting quality (it was filmed during the day with blinds closed and one overhead light on), sound quality, and the camera’s ability to catch movement.Overall, this camera is great for the price. As long as you have a fairly good light source facing the user (not behind the user), the camera will pick up video very well. It isn’t the best at catching movement so you probably wouldn’t want to use it to demonstrate something but if you are just talking such as you would for Skype, it’s excellent. The sound is very good as well. The sound in the video is from my nephew talking (he’s 2-3 feet from the camera), my husband talking (4-5 feet from the camera) and from the TV (6-8 feet from the camera). Everything gets picked up very well and is clear.If you’re looking for a Skype webcam or something for video reviews of products, this would be great for you. If you’re looking for something for a web/YouTube show, look for something else.
