The novelty wears off. I guess this is more for a little kid, but whatever. It gets way less cool after a little while, and also the lights seem to be a little dinky. They seem to get stuck on red a lot, which is not nearly as pretty as some of the other colours.

SUPER bright and cute! except one would think since it's just LED's the batteries would last longer.I got this for a six year old girl. reports from the parents are that it's the most amazing thing ever! except for sucking down batteries like crazy. It's bright enough to be a good fun nightlight for most kids, but invest in some good rechargeables or you'll be regretting it.The plush is soft and comes clean easily with just a sponge and a little water. This is key, given it WILL get carried around and inevitably will end up with unidentifiable smears of... well, it's something, anyway.

Son loves it, but wish it had automatic turn-off. My 9 year old son loves his star pillow like crazy. He takes it with him everywhere. My only complaint is that I wish it had an automatic turn off (15 minutes would be good) because it is battery powered, and I get fairly annoyed that I come in to wake him in the morning and the pillow has been on all night. But, again, I want to reinterate that my son loves it to death, and drags it everywhere. It seems to be fairly well-made and the colors are bright and cheerful.
